New Cool Colleges

Sierra Club has announced their third annual comprehensive guide to the most eco-enlightened U.S. universities also known as the Cool College Guide.

As I say every time one of these ranking guides come out, I think the idea that you can rank a college 1,2,…5 etc is just wrong. However, as a general guide to colleges that are involved in different aspects of preserving the ecology, there is merit to the guide.   The guide ranks the colleges on issues such as efficiency, energy, food, transportation and waste.
