Wayne State College also has a Rural Health Opportunities Program associated with the University of Nebraska Medical Center. The Rural Health Opportunities Program has options not just for medicine but also for other health profession fields.
Like the program at Chadron State College the purpose of the medical program is to educate students from rural Nebraska who wish to return to practice medicine in rural Nebraska. Students may apply to either Wayne State College or Chadron State College but, if applying to both colleges, may only apply to one professional field.
Up to five students from Wayne State College may be selected for the medical program.
If you live in rural Nebraska and wish to attend medical school, the Rural Health Opportunities Program is a good option.
