The Huffington Post recently published a piece from an alumni interviewer for Harvard.
Everyone who is interested in applying to not just Harvard, but any highly selective college, would be well served by reading this article. Don’t focus on the specific questions asked by this interviewer. Rather, look at the underlying factors that are important.
Passion.
Intellect.
Curiosity.
Mettle.
If you have an interview with a highly selective college, ask yourself, “How am I going to show one, or more, of these things to the interviewer.”
And these issues are things you want to show not only during your interview but also be able to communicate in your essays. If you can do so, and if you have the grades and test scores, you will be a much more competitive candidate than most students.
