Look, I’m not trying to discourage anyone here. But you need to be realistic. If you blow off even one semester it will make getting admitted to a BS/MD program more difficult.
Of course, what is a bad term for one person may not seem like a bad term to someone else. If you have all A’s but got a B+ in US History, you are still in the ball park of where you need to be. But the more B’s you have over the years, the more difficult BS/MD admissions becomes. And please do not get any C’s. That one C by itself may eliminate you from serious consideration.
Also, when you have the problem can make some difference. If you have trouble adjusting to high school and have more B’s than you would like first term freshman year that is better than having a bad term as a junior.
Most of the people you are competing with for BS/MD programs will have almost all A’s on their transcripts. That needs to be your goal also. Are you up for it?
