I am so excited to get this book. Are there any colleges that are test optional when it comes to BS/MD for class of 2022?
How will COVID-19 impact BS/MD programs? Will they have lower expectations when it comes to research and shadowing experiences?
Are international students eligible for accelerated medical programs? If yes, which institution provides full aid?
The vast majority of the BS/MD programs are still requiring testing even if the underlying college has gone test optional. Whether this will continue in the next few years is hard to say but for right now, you should plan on taking the ACT or SAT if applying to BS/MD programs.
We added a special supplement to the 2021 copy of the book to address the issue of COVID and BS/MD programs. In general terms, what we are being told is that colleges will indeed be more understanding to gaps in parts of the application for things like volunteering, research and doctor shadowing.
